Sheehan Family
I met Emily through our mutual love for knitting! Fun fact: My grandma taught me to knit when I was about 6 and I really started getting deeper into it about 10 years ago. Knitting is cool now guys! Anyway, maybe a different post about all that later.
Fast forward and I ended up shooting an adorable family session for Emily, her husband and son! Since they live in White Bear Lake and spend a lot of time on the lake, it seemed the perfect spot for a summer evening session.
We spent the time walking around, mostly following their toddler (who was hilarious by the way, see the photo when we tried for just a mom and dad shot!) and letting him be a kid.
We dipped toes in the lake, had a tickle fight, climbed in a tree, rode on dad’s shoulders, and rounded it out with some nice family portraits.
Sessions are what we make of them; relaxing and going with the flow especially with kids will help immensely. Capturing how your family is in this moment is what I’m after. Even if it’s chaotic, we will find the beauty in it. 🤍
